Thanks to Kellie Walden, who booked Greg Trine to come to Bridlewood. The children loved the presentation and the opportunity to meet and hear a published author. I hope the children are enjoying their Melvin Beederman books.

Kindergarten: We are going to complete units on farm animals, pets, and foods.
First Grade: We are going to be reading camping stories, summer stories, and possibly a chapter book. I'm also going to introduce the online catalog to the children.
Second Grade: We are learning how to use the online catalog now. We will be doing a unit on various book awards concentrating on the Caldecott and the Bluebonnet awards.
Third Grade: I am going to introduce the 2008-09 Bluebonnet book award nominees. we will also complete an author study.
Fourth Grade: I am going to introduce the 2008-09 Bluebonnet book award nominees.
Fifth Grade: I am going to introduce the 2008-09 Bluebonnet book award nominees.
Book Check-Out
Kindergarten: 1 book at a time
First Grade: 1 book at a time
Second Grade: 2 books at a time
Third Grade: 2 books at a time
Fourth Grade: 3 books at a time
Fifth Grade: 3 books at a time
Books are due back at the next library class, but may be renewed. Students may come to the library any day after 12:45pm-with their teacher's permission-to return and renew books. They do not have to wait until their next library time to check out new books.
Reading Counts update: Even more Reading Counts tests have been added to the database. Tests added include most of the Melvin Beederman books and both "Wimpy Kid" books. A copy of the updated lists have been delivered to the Flower Mound public library. The list has also been updated on Bridlewood's web site.
Did You Know?
You can access the Bridlewood Library’s catalog from home. Just click on the “LISD Destiny” logo on Bridlewood’s home page. You can even create lists and print them out for your child when s/he comes to the library and we will assist them in finding those books. This is a very useful function especially when looking for Reading Counts books with your child.
