Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome back! I am so excited to begin another year at Downing.
You may have noticed that the required supplies have changed a little. We hired several replacement teachers who have different classroom needs. We have tried to make this as inconvenient as possible. The additional supplies will only enhance your child's learning in the new classrooms. They will now need two more single subject spiral notebooks and an 2" binder to be left in the history classroom. Thank you so much for your understanding.
My regular tutoring times are every morning before school from 8:15 to 8:35 and on Tues. and Thurs. afternoons from 3:55 to 4:30. Tutoring will begin next week. Please write your child a note if they are coming in the morning or have them pick up a pass from me. Students are not allowed in the hallway before school without a pass. As always, please keep an eye on my schoolnotes page for changes to this schedule. I will make every effort to aid your child whenever I am available.
Please continue to monitor esembler to keep track of your student's grades. Please encourage them to use the online textbook for video tutorials and extra practice. Thank you and don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. My email address is sanderslg@lisd.net.
