Welcome, parents and students!  This site is designed to provide updates of English coursework.  I generally stay on schedule, but all of the below information is subject to change.  I hope that you find it helpful.

May 5-9:
*Please Note: Students will be reading several connection pieces to To Kill a Mockingbird (essays, non-fiction, and poems) this week.  They will have class discussions and short writing responses to complete.  Homework for these readings will vary because students will have to finish what they do not get completed during class.  Please let me know if you have any questions about the day's assignment.

Monday: Turn in Julius Caesar process paper; take vocabulary quiz; discuss chapters 12-15 of To Kill a Mockingbird; read and discuss connection piece

Tuesday: Journal response; discuss chapters 16-19; read and discuss connection piece

Wednesday: Discuss chapters 20-23; read and discuss connection piece

Thursday: Discuss chapters 24-27; read and discuss connection piece; read and annotate "Shame" essay (specifically focus on tone and how the author conveys tone)

Friday: Journal response; Round Table Discussion for To Kill a Mockingbird and "Shame" (bring 5 high-level questions and 5 responses to class)
