I am excited about this new school year. Your children are great and I look forward to a wonderful year with them. We have had some fun getting to know each other and we will be getting busy in the next few days starting on our planners and getting into the Everyday Math book. Thank you for sharing your children with me.
For part of our Social Studies curriculum, I use Time for Kids magazine. It is a great publication and the children get to learn about world issues. We ask that the parents provide this for the children. The cost is $4.42 per child. If you can send in the money by the end of next week, I would appreciate it.
We will be starting our first planner – “Matter Matters” this planner is Science based and we have a lot to cover. We will start some experiments and the children will have opportunities to do some research at home and school.
Please make sure that all of the required forms are signed and returned. Also please take the time to fill out the questionnaire that I sent home.
