SCIENCE RULES!!!!   2008 Our Best Year Ever!

Third Cycle Overview (from now to spring break)

Science this cycle is all about life science.
We're currently looking at the life cycles of plants and animals. Other cycles that we'll study will be the carbon cycle, nitrogen cycle, and again of course, the water cycle. Other topics covered in our life science unit will be: adaptations, inherited traits, learned behaviors, habitats, and food webs.

GUEST SPEAKERS
We have many Kolter parents working in science-related careers. Our classes would welcomoe any parent that would like to come and share their science work with us.  Just let Mrs. Shong know what you would like to do, and she'll schedule a time for your classroom visit.

BACTERIA ? ? ? ?
We don't study much about bacteria, but they are fascinating and play a large role in the nitrogen cycle.  Is there any parent that works with bacteria,  and could do a small culture study with us?  Please contact Mrs. Shong.
