READING – We are beginning our new round of guided reading this week. This round will go for six weeks.
LANGUAGE ARTS – We will be working on writing instructions for the next couple weeks. I will send a schedule for instruction presentations by next week. Our spelling words this week are homophones. The words are: plane, hymn, stake, hoarse, throne, tied, sweet, reel, him, plain, steak, real, break, pedal, horse, suite, tide, thrown, brake, and peddle
MATH – This week we will work on using menus to solve long division problems and water conservation division. We will also play the game “Lowest Remainder Wins”.
SCIENCE – We will finish up topic 5 this week.
SOCIAL STUDIES -- We are working on the Mountain States. We will begin working on chapter 6, “The French and English come to America”.
