Welcome to 7th grade Social Studies at Powell Middle School! This should be an exciting year. We will be working on completing 2 standards and 3 benchmarks.
I will also be teaching one Guided Reading/SSR class this year. The focus of this class will be to improve students' reading skills.
The curriculum this year will vary greatly! We will be focusing on the geography of the different countries around the world and their cultures.

Grades are updated on Infinite Campus. Students are going to be beginning a big research project on a country in Latin America. They are going to start researching on Monday. Students chose countries today. Please let me know if you have questions.
