Dear Parents/Guardians,
In VoWac, we have been learning open, closed and vowel consonant silent e patterns.
In writing, we have been reviewing how to correctly form the letters and numbers. DOL is another thing we have been doing. Mostly we have been working on capitalizing the first letter of a sentence and names. We also have been putting in the correct ending mark. We have been learning about nouns. And will learn about verbs soon. We have been learning our number sense with the numbers 1-50. We have been using combinations of numbers to make 10. and also,we have been learning more and less and the days of the week. We have been learning our order words like first, second, third, fourth and fifth.
Last week we started tracking our reading goal of 100 books for Scholastic. When we read 100 books the company will donate books for places in the US that are in great need for books.
We are continuing to learn about Johnny Appleseed and apples for Science and Social Studies.
