For the week of April 21, 2008.
Well, it has been an interesting school year!
We are starting to do our Pre-Outdoor Lab activities at school. We have divided the kids into their 8 councils and they will be rotating to the lessons as a group. The councils will attend one lesson a day and work together to complete the lesson or activity. In my room we are making the T-Shirts that the kids will be wearing in Story. The directions to set the prints will come home with the shirts.
In Math we are going back and covering lessons we skimmed over before the P.A.W.S. testing started. We continue to review what we have covered this year as well.
In Language Arts we are going to try and squeeze in our our Literacy Groups. The kids can still read AR books and take tests, but it has been a challenge getting books with the library closed for the last three weeks. We will also be reading our Weekly Readers and Scholastic News magazines.
In Wyoming History we learning about the Frontier Army, Pony Express, and the Movement West. We are excited about our trip to Casper and being able to see some living history. The class also enjoyed seeing the trunk from the Wyoming State Museum in Cheyenne. They really enjoyed putting on the clothes and pretending they were a soldier.
In Science we are covering Rocks and Minerals.
Keep checking those Planners.
Thanks for all of your hard work!
