February 2008 Dear Families, This month in math the students are learning how to tell time to the five minutes, reading calendars, charting data, and making graphs. Take some time to look at magazines or the newspaper with your child to famaliarize them with these differenct ways we collect information. It would be great if you could practice before and after the hour at home too. We'll be reading about the presidents in our Scolastic this month as well as continuing our study of the Polar Regions to learn more about adaptations. Please try to remember to complete your math homework and read your AR book every night for 30 minutes or more. Student's are working towards earning 100 AR points to earn an Accelerated Reading Star shirt. Students should be finishing up their addition facts and moving on to subtraction facts around January 14. 2008.Take a look at the new vocabulary on the flashcards for Chapter 8 in Math.
