General Information
**This year students may check their hours independently in the CSF folder at the school library counter.**
-This service will be updated every few weeks
DEADLINE FOR SENIOR SERVICE HOURS:
March 27, 2008 at the end of 3rd Quarter
~This year there will be no last minute service events for seniors~
REMINDERS:
- Seniors must have some hours done by the end of first semester; students will not be considered active members if they have zero service hours completed by the end of the first semester of their senior year.
- You may NOT complete all 20 service hours on the same project. (The purpose of this is to ensure that you are performing service in more than one area.)
-We discuss current service opportunities at each CSF meeting. Please attend to meetings to sign up for these opportunities.
-Library tutoring: Non-paid library tutoring can count towards CSF hours. *This year CSF students are required to have a signed service approval form for library tutoring in order for the hours to count towards CSF!* See Mme. Oyler for a form in room G180.
-Pilgrim Place: If you participated in this event on Nov. 10 you should have recieved a signed yellow slip of verification from the head of your booth. Please turn these in at the meeting on Dec. 4 or in Mme. Oyler's room, G180, so that we can record your hours.
100% MEMBERS are those who have qualified and paid their dues for 6 consecutive semesters (each semester of a student's sophomore through senior years). 100% members may purchase or rent the CSF stole, and will receive a gold tassel.
LIFE MEMBERS are those who have qualified and paid their CSF dues for 4 semesters (from sophomore through senior years), one of which must be during senior year. Life members will receive a gold tassel, but do not qualify to have a CSF stole.
Both life and 100% members who have completed their 20 hours of service (5 hours must be completed during senior year) are considered ACTIVE MEMBERS and have the privilege of walking at the front of the graduating class at commencement.
Certificates and pins for life members (who qualified after first semester) will be distributed at the Senior Awards Night. Some seniors will only qualify for life membership after second semester.
Tassels will be distributed and stoles will be available to purchase or to rent after the senior orientation assembly on Wednesday (the day before graduation). Stoles are (TBD)to purchase. If you would like to rent your stole, there will be a $10 deposit and $5 of it will be given back once the stole has been returned. ONLY CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED. Tassels are free to all qualifying CSF life members.
If you decide to rent your stole, you must return it to the student store when you come back to pick up your diploma. You will receive your deposit and a receipt. In order to receive your diploma, you must return your stole and have a valid receipt from the student store.
