Happy summer! I just added some websites to use for practicing math facts. Most of the kids are probably taking a break from them, but the sites will still be here at the end of summer and it would be a good idea to freshen up before getting back in the swing of school.

FYI: The s.s. quiz on Wed. will be on the vocab for lessons 1-4 of unit 2 (I think pgs 88-114) There will be 1-2 short response questions about why communities are built by certain resources/why water is important.
If it takes longer for me to respond to emails, it is due to the fact that I can no longer get into my hotmail at school. They upgraded and the school laptop's operating system can't handle it. We are trying out the math workbooks for chapter 4. At the end of chapter 4, I'm going to check in with the kids to see how they are working for them. I would also like to hear from you, parents, about what you think...do you prefer the sheets in the folders or the book. There is less practice, but it is challenging.

Most of our text books have websites that go along with them now. They vary in what they have available on-line, etc., but I believe there is some practice that goes along with our math. Give it a try and let me know if it is worth while for your child, I think the self-checks may be good for quizzing to check retention of material.
