Welcome Back!!!

...and welcome to high school! This is your first step to the next four years and I hope that we can experience the world of Medieval Europe through the Age of Revolutions in fun and exciting ways together. Well, I have fun anyway. Illustration of the Crusades

Please feel free to use this website to check on assignment schedules, due dates, rubrics, links, important school event dates, or anything else I see fit to include concerning 9th Grade World History. Visit the bottom of his page to view popular links and project rubric information anytime.This year I have added a new feature; *REQUIREMENT* will list specific areas of importance where a student will be responsible for a particular item which is listed within the entry.

If you need to talk to me directly, please call me direct at (360) 473-0901 ONLY during the following times... 7am - 8:30 or 2 - 4pm most afternoons. If your schedule does not permit these times, leave me a message on my voice mail and I will try to accomodate you.

Calendar Codes =

(CW) - Class-work... this is work that was assigned in-class with the majority of the class time given to complete the assignment.

(HW) - Homework... this is work that was assigned in-class, usually with some class time to work on it, but with a due-date and the expectation that students will take it home to complete.

(PR) - Project... this is a unit culminating project. These carry big points and students will generally have anywhere from 1-2 weeks for completion, incorporating classtime and hometime for successful completion.

(Q) - Quiz... this is an in-class, skill building exercise that checks the understanding of the material being taught and can identify areas that need improvement.

(T) - Test... this is a culminating unit-test/summative assessment that assesses understanding of the material given each unit.

(CBA) - Classroom Based Assessment... this is the state-required assessment for social studies classes. All training and testing will be labeled with this code.
