This morning Mrs. Van Eycke taught a very special art project. Every student made a beautiful watercolor picture and then put it together with their special message to Mrs. Schuchart and a photo. Students' pages will be included in a class book. We will have a special celebration for Mrs. Schuchart on Friday morning.
We had our final run-through of the staging and props for the plays tomorrow.
Remind your families that the performances will start at 8:35 in the 5th grade work area.

Everyone enjoyed Field Day activities this morning.
Mrs. Schuchart announced to the students that she has accepted a job at Kingston Middle School as their librarian. I know she will be dearly missed by Woodlands students and staff next year. We've been so lucky to have someone of her caliber here at Woodlands. She is an amazing teacher, mentor, friend, and advocate for students. Kingston is very fortunate to have her on staff. We wish her all the best.
We are making a class book for Mrs. Schuchart. Each student typed a special note that will be included in the book as a going-away present for her.
Remember our plays will be presented Thursday morning beginning at 8:35. We hope you can join us!

Play Rehearsal - We were able to have each group practice their play and receive feedback from the class. I have asked all students to rehearse their parts OUT LOUD as many times as possible this weekend. It would be great if parents and family members could listen and remind them to speak slowly, loudly, and clearly.
We hope to invite other classes to our room to watch the plays on Wednesday and Thursday mornings next week. More information to come.
