  • Want to join a club where YOU can make a difference? Join, STAND, a Student Led Anti Genocide movement. Check it out and come to our first meeting on Monday, the 9th after school in Mrs. Faxon's room, 405, in the freshmen wing. Hope to see you there!

 

  • Drum roll please….. The winners of the Conference Raffle are:  Schuylar Golden for a Spirit Wear T-shirt, Kim Enloe (Parent) for a Spirit Wear T-Shirt, and
    Sarah Lane
    for a $25 Outback gift certificate!  (One more to be announced later)  Students, come and pick up your prizes from Ms. Irish in the Career Center.  Congratulations and a big thank you to all the students and parents who participated in this year’s conferences!

 

  • Lady Knights Basketball players, weight room #144 on Saturday at 9:00am.  See you there!  Coach Al

 

  • Are you planning on a life in the “corporate world”?  Washington Business Week gives you an opportunity to experience it firsthand.  Join them for a week packed with business, teambuilding, leadership and life skills.  Open to all high school students.  Cost is $325 which covers a stay at a college dorm, meals, program materials, activities, entertainment and a t-shirt.  Financial assistance is available.  Plan ahead – programs are in the summer.  Get more information now in the Career Center.  Programs also available in Healthcare, Construction and Manufacturing.

 

  • St. Martin’s College will be here November 19th.  If interested in attending this college, please sign up in the Counseling Center.

 

  • DeVry University has a great opportunity for those interested in a career in business or technology.  Fill out a Passport2College application to receive free tuition to earn college credits while taking classes like Visual Design Fundamentals and Intro to Game and Simulation Programming at their
    Federal Way
    campus.  More information available in the Career Center.

 

  • DeVry University is offering a variety of scholarships.  Come check out their list in the Career Center.

 

  • Washington Aerospace Scholars is accepting applications for a FREE NASA designed web-based program from High School Juniors.  DEADLINE IS MONDAY!  Accepted students will study a NASA-designed curriculum, work with professional engineers and scientists, visit engineering facilities, and compete in hands-on engineering challenges.  Get application information ASAP in the Career Center as you will need to also have a teacher/counselor/principal recommendation.

 

  • DeVry is also offering SAT Review.  Dates are Saturday, January 16th and Saturday, April 17th.  Seats are limited, so come into the Career Center ASAP to get contact information!

 

  • There will be an Honor Society meeting On Monday at 2:00 in room 311.  All members need to attend! All students interested in joining our junior chapter need to come to this important meeting.

 

  • Got spirit? National Honor Society does and they want to share it with you!  Show your knight pride by purchasing spirit beads from any honor society member.

 

  • Reminder to Seniors – If you are interested in the Art Institute of Chicago – they will be at the Seattle Art Museum this Saturday, tomorrow, from Noon to 3:00 pm.    You will have the opportunity to meet with faculty, admissions, and enrollment services staff.  You are welcome to bring your artwork to show their advisors.  More info in the Career Center.

 

  • If you are interested in animal care and education careers at a zoo or aquarium, the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium is having a Career Day this Saturday, tomorrow, starting at 9:30.  Free event for students – no registration needed!

 

  • Don't miss out on the Harlem Ambassadors Basketball game, Monday evening, Nov. 9th at 7 pm here at the Bremerton HS Gym.  Former BHS Principal Aaron Leavell and Bremerton Schools Superintendent Flip Herndon will be playing. Come and cheer them on!!!

 

  • Those students interested in swimming on the BOYS SWIM team, meet in the commons on Tuesday, Nov. 10th at 2:15.  Coach Adrian will be here to give you all the latest information.

 

  • "Little Shop of Horrors" callbacks have been changed to NOVEMBER 12th at 2:30 in the CHOIR ROOM!!!

 

  • The BHS production of Our Town is opening TONIGHT.  Tickets are only $2 with ASB and $5 without. Cheaper than a movie ticket!  Come see Thorton Wilder's play come to life!  Productions are at the BHS auditorium on November 6th, 7th, 13th, and 14th.  The show starts at 7:00pm. 

 

  • Attention Staff and Students: the International Studies Club will be hosting a silent auction tomorrow evening in the Commons beginning at 6 p.m. in conjunction with the fall play Our Town. Please stop by and place your bids!

 

  • From the library: The library will be closed to classes and individual student coming on passes during Periods 1-3 TODAY, and Monday November 9, for testing. Sorry for the inconvenience...Hope to see you in the library at other times...

·         Purchase ASB card if made team

You cannot participate without a completed athletic packet
