  • Do you “Dare Not to Swear”? “Because it’s the
    Knight Way

  • University of Washington Bothell will be here on Tuesday, December 1st – which is coming quicker than you think!  Sign up today in the Counseling office.

 

  • Seniors: In case you missed Tuesday's Senior Prom announcement, this year Prom will be Saturday, May 1st from 9:00 to midnight at Tucker's at Gold Mountain Golf Course. That's what we know for now. We'll update you as we firm up more information.

 

  • Fastpitch open gym will begin Tuesday 12/1/09 2:30 - 4:00 at Bremerton Junior High, Players will need gloves, bats and gym Shoes. Players will be conditioning for hitting, throwing and pitching.

 

  • There will be a Junior class officer meeting on Monday, in Ms. Hendry's room, room 318 at 2:00.  Please be prompt!

 

  • Seniors: Interested in performing for Graduation or Senior Tea? Here's a reminder that auditions for Senior Tea and Graduation performers will be held in the PAC on Wednesday, April 28th. This year, Senior talent is not limited to vocal and instrumental music. If your talent is dance or drama, (or something else we haven't thought of) you are welcome to audition as well. Whatever you perform simply needs to be appropriate and thematically related to the occasion. We'll have a meeting after the New Year to give interested performers more information.

 

  • Are you a Native American that is a member of the Yakama Nation?  There is a scholarship just for you!  Come to the Career Center to pick one up.  Applications are due by May 1st.

 

  • $2.500 Scholarship applications are available for those of Japanese decent and a relative to a Nisei Veterans Committee member.  Deadline is February 1st.  Pick one up today in the Career Center.

 

  • Get started now on a Poster Art contest that could earn you up to two years tuition!  Washington Award for Vocational Excellence (WAVE) Scholarship will begin Dec 10th and is due by Feb 5th.  Put the creative talents to use during your Thanksgiving break!  More info in the Career Center!

 

  • Get ready for the holidays AND help send students to Germany!  The Knights on Parade members are selling beautiful Holiday Greens and Christmas trees.  Decorate with wreaths, swags, and table decorations.  Many styles available and all are made fresh locally.  Trees are cut on the day of pick and come from Community Leader Jerry Reid’s Tree farm.  Many types and sizes are available.  Delivery is during the first week of December.  See a Band, Drill, Flag, or Orchestra member to purchase!

 

  • Washington State PTA invites all students to enter an Essay Contest.  PTA would like you to write how male role models have made a difference in your life.  Open to grades 9 – 12, with 2 winners per region.  Entries are due by February 1st.   All participants receive a certificate of participation and grand prize winners receive 4 field-level tickets to a Mariners Game.

 

  • BHS SAT Prep Class starts in January!  Great preparation for the May SAT test.  Space is limited - sign up today in the Career Center!  This is a 12 week course, meeting once a week and includes 4 practice tests! 

 

  • International Studies Club will be gift-wrapping at Macy’s during the holiday season. They are currently seeking donations of holiday wrapping paper and bows. If you’d like to help out, please give materials to Ms. McClain in room 319.

 

  • GOBBLE GOBBLE!  Hear that?  That’s turkey for Enjoy Thanksgiving break!  You can say that and much more plus get a nice sweet treat for your friend with a Gobble Gram!  The BHS Student Athletic Trainers will be selling "Gobble Grams" during lunches starting on Wednesday and going until next Tuesday.  For just $.50 you send a "Gobble Gram" with a personalized note and a little something sweet to a friend.  Recipients of "Gobble Grams" will be notified during connections on Wednesday the 25th and can be picked up after school that day.  What a great way to start a 5 day weekend! Get yours today!
